This method is similar to what has been said to be done in traditional Chinese medicine where the placenta is prepared by steaming it. It is then dehydrated and turned into capsules for consumption.

Placenta tinctures are created by infusing alcohol and water with the placenta for about 6 weeks. The alcohol pulls out the active and therapeutic properties of the placenta. The alcohol is used as a solvent and also helps preserve the nutrients. Due to the small doses of the tincture it is safe to consume and you will not get drunk. It is similar to the alcohol found in vanilla extract. At the recommended doses this is safe for breast/chest feeding people.

Placenta art prints are a lasting keepsake of the placenta. Natural vegetable food coloring is used to create an imprint of the placenta on watercolor paper. The placenta is then fully washed before preparing the placenta for encapsulation
